The Illinois Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine (IL-PALTC) is a nonprofit statewide medical specialty society dedicated to advancing the quality of health care delivery in post-acute and long-term care settings. Through professional development and education, IL- PALTC supports its members and professional associates in improving the quality of life for patients in PA/LTC settings

The Bi-State Conference on Post-Acute & Long Term Care and Annual Conference & Meeting are held annually in St. Louis, MO and in Oak Brook, IL.  These conferences are ESSENTIAL for medical directors, attending physicians, mid-level providers, administrators and interdisciplinary team members.

Nationally recognized speakers cover a wide range of topics: Strategies for Reducing Readmissions, ACO's and the PA/LTC practitioner, Dermatologic issues, Anti-Psychotics: Dementia Intervention and Management, Assisted Living in the Integrated Health Care Delivery Model, Lessons from Litigation: A Performance Improvement Tool, the latest Public Policy Update from Washington, a PT Perspective on Exercise Programs, as well as POLST, Palliative Care and Hospice. The lectures are structured with plenty of time for interaction with the faculty

Typical attendance is between 60 and 100 members.  Our educational content is interdisciplinary and accredited for CME and CMD credits; it reflects cutting edge reviews, new trends and best practices, policy, legal and ethical issues, and practice management.

IL-PALTC welcomes industry & corporate support to advance the educational mission and to provide members exposure to new products and services.   The conference agendas include regularly scheduled  breaks during the meeting, refreshments are served in the exhibit area allowing attendees to interact with sponsors.
