Continuing Education Information( IHCA offer CE credits only)
Tracks
Sessions have been organized into educational tracks that are distributed throughout the convention. Track assignments are for convenience in selecting sessions to attend; it is not mandatory to stay within a specific discipline. Representatives from all disciplines are welcome to attend any session.
CE Tracking
CE information will be collected through the convention virtual platform which will calculate the amount of time spent viewing each session. Sessions must be viewed in their entirety for you to receive credit for “attending” that session.
A link to the Continuing Education Verification Form may be found on the home page of the convention virtual platform. This form MUST be completed in order to receive your certificate of attendance.
The “official” certificate of attendance will be available 4- 6 weeks following the conclusion of the event through IHCA’s CE Central. An email will be sent to the email address indicated on the Continuing Education Verification Form. Note: The convention virtual platform will automatically generate a document stating that you have participated in a session. However, this is not the “official” certificate of attendance” needed for CE verification.
Continuing education credits have been approved for the following disciplines. Individual session approval for an education session is indicated on the session description.
Nursing Home Administrator
Physical Therapists/Physical Therapy Assistants
Licensed Nurses
Registered Dietician
Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional
Certified Dietary Manager
Social Workers
The Illinois Health Care Association is an approved sponsor of continuing education credit for licensed nursing home administrators, licensed nurses, licensed social workers, physical therapists and physical therapy assistants by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
The Certifying Board for Dietary Managers is a provider of continuing education for certified dietary managers and has approved the sessions indicated (DIET).
The Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) is the credentialing agency for the American Dietetic Association.
Any discipline not mentioned above has not received prior approval for continuing education credits. Attendees of these disciplines should retain a copy of their certificate of attendance and convention program for submission to the appropriate organization.
